Longstanding Commitment Inspires Planned Gift
Trish and Bill Anen’s relationship with Rush Copley Medical Center spans nearly three decades, beginning when Trish joined the team as vice president of Human Resources and Clinical Services. She later served as chief nursing officer.
During her tenure at Rush Copley, Trish played an instrumental role in the transition from downtown Aurora to the current location. She also helped roll out “The Promise to Our Patients and Promise to Each Other,” which continues to serve as the guiding light for all who work at Rush Copley today. In 2015, Trish rejoined the leadership team as a board member.
“I was proud to see Copley’s regional growth and strong focus on quality, safety, and patient and employee engagement as evidenced by multiple national awards, including CMS 5 Star and Magnet designation for nursing. But most of all, I was impressed by their continued commitment to The Promise,” she said.
As Copley patients, Bill and Trish note that they experience this commitment from every nurse, physician, and team member they interact with — whether on the phone, in an office, or in the hospital.
With appreciation for Rush Copley, Bill and Trish have included the medical center in their estate plan. Their gift will support nursing scholarships for staff as well as team members who exhibit The Promise to the patients, families, and communities Copley serves.
“We are honored to be able to support the amazing work carried out each day at Rush Copley,” said Trish.
